In reply to <a href="https://allentiffany.com/self-publishing-book-publishing/#comment-32">Rae Stonehouse</a>.

Interesting question. Personally, I've not tried to repackage my content. And you make a good point: Not all content is worth repackaging. Just being honest, but about half my blogs don't get much traction. Lastly, I'm a bit of a strange animal because I enjoy writing as much as I enjoy marketing. For instance, I recently read McCarthy's Blood Meridian, which is brilliant. It is also insanely violent and brutal, so don't read it unless you are ready for some rough sledding. I've not only read it, I'm studying it, reading academic papers about it, etc. I'm doing so because it is helping me as a writer. I find that hard to share in the sense of content I can blog about let alone repackage. On the other hand, the things I do to help sell more copies of my book, ramp my SEO-driven traffic, etc., are very easy to share on a blog. So... No one answer, but for me right now, no, not much repackaging of content. Hope this helps. :)

I’ve heard numerous times that you can make good money on the internet while you sleep. The downside is that you have to stay awake a long time promoting yourself to make any money.
I’m hearing the same thing about self-publishing and self-marketing your books. I have heard one author say that you shouldn’t count on making any money on your books. He offers 18 different ways that you can repackage your material and sell it in different forms. While this seems optimistic, I am left wondering that if ones’ book has minimal sales or interest for that matter, why would somebody think just because they repackaged their content, that there would be an instant market?
I have lots of content that is repackageable, not sure if it is worth the effort though?
Have you tried repackaging your content?
